Ken Janoski, MBA
Senior Director, Investments
As a senior director of investments on NCBiotech’s Emerging Company Development team, Ken supports the startup and growth of early stage NC-based life science companies through management of the Center’s loan programs. He also mentors and helps identify growth opportunities for NCBiotech’s loan portfolio companies.
Ken brings wide-ranging experience in private, public and research sectors, including senior leadership in industry and technology-based economic development ventures. Prior to joining NCBiotech in 2018, Ken spent almost a decade as a consultant advising major research institutions, investors and new ventures on innovation, technology commercialization and growth. He also served as the chief executive officer at BioGenerator in St. Louis where he worked with the research, investment and entrepreneurial communities to increase the number of university spinout companies in that region. Ken has worked in a number of firms where he was responsible for identifying and assessing commercialization opportunities in the life sciences and supporting early stage company development.
Ken received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
