About
Zach Zabarsky, Ph.D., is the Senior Director of the Science and Technology Development team at NCBiotech.
In this role, he is responsible for developing, managing, and marketing NCBiotech’s research grant programs that advance promising scientific discoveries and technologies developed at North Carolina universities and non-profit institutions. He is responsible for fostering effective relationships with key stakeholders along the technology development continuum.
Before joining NCBiotech, Zach held various roles within the Department of Defense. He served as a Science Officer at the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs within the Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program. Then he was the Senior Scientist for the Science & Technology Enterprise Integration Division supporting the Defense Health Agency, Research and Engineering Directorate. Additionally, Zach has held roles in business development, cell product manufacturing and quality control, and patient care.
Zach earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University, a Master's of Physiology degree from North Carolina State University, and a Doctorate in Integrative Physiology and Pharmacology from Wake Forest University.
