Event and Meeting Grants

NCBiotech's event and meeting grants provide support for North Carolina-based events and meetings that bring information and networking opportunities on diverse topics to the life science community statewide.  

Biotechnology Event Sponsorships (BES) provide up to $3,000 for events to support life science-focused events held primarily for a North Carolina audience.  Biotechnology Meeting Grants (BMG) are restricted to national/international meetings being held in North Carolina and offer up to $10,000. 

Virtual and hybrid events are eligible for support.  See the guidelines for details.

Any North Carolina-based nonprofit organization may apply.

BES and BMG Proposal Deadlines for Fiscal Year 2021-2022

Event/Meeting Dates:  July - September 2021
Deadline: Wednesday, June 2, 2021 (noon)

Event/Meeting Dates:  October - December 2021
Deadline: Wednesday, September 1, 2021 (noon)

Event/Meeting Dates:  January - March 2022
Deadline: Wednesday, December 1, 2021 (noon)

Event/Meeting Dates:  April - June 2022
Deadline: Wednesday, March 2, 2022 (noon)

How to Submit your Proposal:

Important First Step:  The Event Director/Primary Contact for the proposal must register for an account on the NCBiotech Funding Portal in advance of the deadline in order to submit a proposal.
