Southeast Symposium on Genome Integrity and Chromatin Regulation 2026
The 1st Southeast Symposium on Genome Integrity and Chromatin Regulation will be held at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on Monday, June 15, 2026.
This inaugural regional event builds on the success of the 2025 Carolina Symposium on Genome Integrity and Chromatin Regulation. Last year’s symposium attracted approximately 150 participants from 15 institutions across North and South Carolina. The symposium featured two keynote speakers, four invited speakers, seven selected abstract talks, and over 50 poster presentations.
Building on that momentum, the symposium will include participants from Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. This one-day event will feature two keynote speakers and six invited distinguished experts from Southeastern institutions.
Furthermore, 10 oral speakers will be selected from submitted abstracts. The symposium will also include one poster session, with awards recognizing three outstanding presentations and two honorable mentions.
This symposium is designed to foster scientific exchange, collaboration, and networking among researchers at all career stages. It provides a vital platform for trainees to present their work, engage with leading experts, and access valuable learning opportunities.
