Biotech Means Business: The Growth Shaping North Carolina’s Future
CREW Charlotte’s October 2026 Luncheon features a panel entitled "Biotech Means Business: The Growth Shaping North Carolina’s Future," bringing together leaders from across North Carolina’s life sciences and economic development community to explore what is driving the industry’s growth—and what it means for Charlotte’s commercial real estate market.
The conversation will examine Charlotte’s evolution as an emerging life sciences hub, including the factors influencing corporate location and expansion decisions, the impact of investments such as Eli Lilly’s Concord campus and The Pearl, and the role of talent, workforce development, site readiness, infrastructure, incentives, and real estate in attracting future investment.
Panelists will also discuss where the Charlotte region is best positioned to compete and what needs to happen next to strengthen its life sciences ecosystem.

Founded in 1990, CREW Charlotte is a Chapter of CREW Network, a global organization with over 12,000 members in over 75 major markets, focused on promoting business, providing educational opportunities, and sharing information among members at local, regional, and national levels.
