Charlotte Biomedical Sciences Symposium 2026

UNC Charlotte, in collaboration with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, will host The Charlotte Biomedical Sciences Symposium in Uptown Charlotte on Monday, September 14, 2026. This full-day event will bring together academia and industry to highlight the innovation and translational research in biomedical and bioengineering sciences in the region. 

The symposium will drive forward transformative solutions to pressing health challenges, reinforcing UNC Charlotte's commitment to excellence in biomedical education and research. Learn about breakthrough discoveries, enjoy interactive panel discussions, network, and create collaborations for seed funding.

Last year drew together over 350 researchers, clinicians, life sciences and industry representatives from across the Carolinas. Once again, we will kick off the North Carolina Life Sciences Week here in Charlotte.   • Featured speakers from regional medical and biotechnology partners and the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Science
  • Concurrent oral sessions with speakers selected from submitted abstracts

  • Afternoon social, trainee poster session, and post competition
