6TH Annual North Carolina Entrepreneurship Educator's Conference

An initiative connecting military talent with job opportunities in North Carolina’s growing biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry will expand, thanks to a new federal grant.

The two-year, $825,000 grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration, will be used to increase access to job training, internships and referrals across the state through the Military Outreach and Veterans Engagement (MOVE) initiative, launched in 2019 by the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. 

The 6th Annual NCEEC will be held at the UNCW Center for Marine Sciences, which is located by the Intercoastal Waterway in Wilmington.

This event will cover important issues in the classroom, including entrepreneurship during crises, the tools that entrepreneurship students need to know upon graduation, how entrepreneurship impacts economic development, the notion of humane entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in agriculture and ocean farming, and how entrepreneurship can address many of the social issues in North Carolina.

The life sciences version of March Madness 2024 has just tipped off across North Carolina.

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, launched the biannual, statewide NCBiotech Venture Challenge for 2024, following the success of the initiative in 2020 and 2022.
