2026 Integrative Vascular Biology and UNC McAllister Heart Institute Research

This symposium helps expose the local scientific community to new, cutting-edge data generated by cardiovascular researchers (graduate students, post docs and medical fellows) in the Research Triangle area. It promotes multi-disciplinary collaborative research.

The symposium is a day-long event featuring:

  • Two keynote addresses by leading faculty in the cardiovascular field:
    • Pearl Quijada, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in Integrative Biology and Physiology at UCLA
    • Rajan Jain, M.D., William Wikoff Smith Associate Professor in Cardiovascular Research at University of Pennsylvania
  • Short talks presented by graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and medical residents from the Integrative Vascular Biology training program, McAllister Heart Institute-affiliated laboratories, and guests from neighboring institutions and research organizations.

All researchers who wish to present will be accommodated. Student and post-doctoral speakers are selected from submitted abstracts. Individuals not chosen for oral presentations will be able to discuss their research in one of two poster sessions.
