NC IDEA MICRO Grant

Are you looking to validate and advance an idea for your new business? NC IDEA’s project-based grant awards $10K to early-stage companies, along with mentorship and guidance.

Since 2018, 77 North Carolina companies received NC IDEA’S MICRO grant funding.

NC IDEA SEED Grant

NC IDEA SEED offers critical funding to innovative early-stage companies with a proven concept. The $50K SEED grant will advance your startup, gain customers, or attract future investment. NC IDEA offers mentorship and guidance upon receival of the award, effectively reducing the risk of growing startups.

Since 2003, 70% of awarded startups are operating today. These companies raised $295M and generated over 1,860 jobs.

About NC IDEA

Established in 2006, NC IDEA's primary focus was making seed grants directly to young technology companies. In July 2015, NC IDEA converted to a private foundation and expanded support to the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem.  NC IDEA strengthens the economy of North Carolina through a strategic combination of grants and programs, deployed directly and through a network of partners, to help people achieve their entrepreneurial potential.
