NeuroGT Inc. is developing a second-generation gene therapy for the treatment of Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) IIIB. MPS IIIB (also called Sanfilippo syndrome type B) is a devastating autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disease that results in severe progressive neurological disease. NeuroGT has been awarded a $250,000 loan to advance its lead gene therapy candidate through pre-clinical development and the pre-IND meeting with the FDA.
