Project Description:
Funds have been awarded to the Center for In vivo Microscopy at Duke University Medical Center to support the purchase of equipment that enables magnetic resonance histology of research animals. This technology produces non-destructive magnetic resonance images of post mortem specimens at spatial resolution more than two million times that of clinical MRI. These images are integral for precise mapping of the brain and for better understanding diseases. The MRH system at Duke is the only one of its kind in NC and one of only a few in the world.
