About
Kim Marcom oversees NCBiotech's branding and manages a team of contract designers to create and produce print, digital and event materials. She works closely with designers and members of the Corporate Communications team to evolve the Center's brand and support the Center's strategies for transforming life sciences in North Carolina. Marcom regularly interfaces with internal clients, Center partners and vendors. Her special love for listening to a problem, visualizing a solution and working as part of a talented and eager team keeps her invigorated.
A graphic designer with over 30 years of experience, Marcom has worked in a variety of academic and non-profit organizations. She has served as both a graphic designer and graphic design manager for Meredith College’s marketing and communications office. She worked as a program assistant and graphic designer for North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles’ Extension Service. As a freelance designer in her "off hours," she enjoys working with small and medium-sized businesses, specializing in corporate identity systems and logo design.
Marcom is a member of American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA).
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Design from the North Carolina State University College of Design.
