About

Jen Greenstein, Ph.D., is Senior Director on the Focused Initiatives Team (FIT) at NCBiotech. In this role, she leads the evaluation of opportunities and solutions that benefit the North Carolina life sciences, agtech, and industrial biotech sectors. Jen identifies upcoming trends, aligns those with NC strengths, prioritizes potential clusters for economic development, and implements strategies to grow and strengthen those ecosystems.

Jen started at NCBiotech in 2020 on the Emerging Company Development team. Through this work, she supported startups and entrepreneurs, led the agtech loan program, and designed an internal database to track investor engagement and loan program deal flow.

Jen has a scientific background, holding a Doctorate of Microbiology and a Professional Science Master's degree in Microbial Biotechnology from North Carolina State University. Jen also holds a Bachelor's degree in both Biology and Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
