Desiree joined NCBiotech in May 2024 as the Senior Accounting and Expense Manager. She oversees critical functions, including accounts payable, fixed assets, and expense management. Dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency, Desiree will lead initiatives like AP automation to streamline workflows and improve accuracy. 

She collaborates across departments to ensure financial practices align with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Currently pursuing her CMA certification, Desiree brings a forward-thinking approach to problem-solving and is committed to driving financial excellence to support NCBiotech’s mission of advancing life sciences in North Carolina.

Originally from Oley, Pennsylvania, Desiree served in the U.S. Navy as a 911 dispatcher at NAS Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, Washington. Desiree lived in Washington State for 16 years before returning to Pennsylvania, where she pursued and completed an Accounting degree and launched a career. She relocated to North Carolina in 2020 after her first grandchild was born.

Outside of Desiree's professional life, she is dedicated to her family, which includes three adult children and five grandchildren. She enjoys spending quality time with family, traveling, reading, and indulging in true crime documentaries. She is also an avid cat lover, with two cats named Bailey and Beasley.
