He will develop North Carolina’s life science workforce with military talent. In this role, Dr. Coleman will strengthen direct and indirect partnerships that are key to the program’s sustainability.
Dr. Coleman spent half his 26 years on active duty in the US Army at Fort Liberty, NC. His Military Specialties include Infantry (0331 and 11C), Special Operations Medicine (18D), and Special Operations Team Management (18Z). He moved to Thailand after retirement to complete a doctorate in Educational Leadership. In late 2021, he returned to Fort Liberty to continue his service with the Transition Assistance Program and prepare individuals for life outside of the military.
