Project Description: For many rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients, anti-TNF drugs have transformed their lives. Anti-NF drugs have been shown to slow or stop joint damage caused by RA. However 40% of patients do not respond to these types of drugs and many responsive patients develop resistance over time. Takinib is a novel drug-like molecule specifically targeting the anti-inflammatory pathways of TNF. The goal of this project is to develop this molecule as an oral medication and develop it as an alternative to current therapies.
