North Carolina Regulatory Affairs Forum
The North Carolina Regulatory Affairs Forum (NCRAF) is an information exchange on regulatory affairs involving research, development or the manufacture of drugs, and biologics or medical devices.
NCRAF is a local association of regulatory affairs professionals, operating in Research Triangle Park. The group meets approximately eight to ten times a year. Speakers include regulatory experts and other leaders from industry, technology vendors and academia. NCRAF was founded in 1992, but now, it's one of the 20-plus Exchange Groups supported statewide by NCBiotech.
Membership Guidelines
Annual membership in NCRAF is $50, a real bargain in professional development. For students and unemployed job seekers, an even lower annual membership rate is offered. Most NCRAF events are open to the public for a nominal fee but are free for members. Additionally, some NCRAF educational opportunities are only available to NCRAF members. For more information on the benefits of membership, please visit our website.
We hope to see you soon at NCRAF functions and look forward to welcoming you as a new member.
Meeting Format
Evening events are each preceded by a reception featuring appetizers and networking opportunities. Presentations at these events are also accessible as live webinars. Currently, NCRAF also sponsors two dinner events annually, including a “Spring Symposium” each May featuring an especially high-profile speaker, and a Roundtable dinner event each November featuring 10-15 concurrent speakers and topics from which to choose.
NCRAF also sponsors other educational and networking opportunities, such as our annual RAC workshop on regulations governing the development and marketing of pharmaceutical and biotechnology medicinal products for human use. The pharma/bio workshop series is held annually from June through October.
Program Schedule
Most evening events run from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and are held at various locations in the RTP area, including the IQVIA Cafe' (2400 Ellis Road, Durham) and the NCBiotech Center. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
Generally, event registration is free for NCRAF members, $20 for non-members attending in-person, or $10 for non-members attending remotely, unless otherwise noted.
Special dinner events (Spring Symposium and Roundtable Dinner, and certain special events co-sponsored with other local professional groups) are priced as listed at www.ncraf.org.
The workshop series on regulations governing pharm/biomedical products is priced as indicated on the NCRAF website. Registration for this RAC workshop series is only available to NCRAF members. Live sessions for the series are held on Tuesday evenings. All sessions are recorded to be available for registrants to re-review at their leisure.
