The Forum's most recent event took place on May 14, 2025, featuring a panel on "Regulatory Aspects of Genome Editing in Agriculture." The panel included experts from Syngenta, BIO, NCSU, Bayer Crop Science, and a Regulatory Consultant expert in this field. This topic is highly relevant due to the rapid advancements in technology and the need to understand both local and global regulatory frameworks for product commercialization.

On November 20, 2024, the Forum hosted an in-person panel at the NC Biotech Center on the topic of "Regulatory Aspects of Resistance Management." The panel featured experts from the EPA, NCSU, BASF, and Bayer Crop Science. The event saw significant public engagement, with discussions covering resistance management in areas such as pesticides (including herbicide and insect resistance), seeds and traits, and biologicals. 

In June 2024, the Forum organized a webinar titled "Biostimulants: A Developing Regulatory Landscape." This webinar provided a platform for four industry professionals to discuss the regulatory landscape and the status of biostimulants as a crucial tool for enhancing crop productivity. The webinar got significant interest, attracting the participation of more than 120 individuals.

Ag Tech Regulatory Biostimulants Panel - Recording

The inaugural event of the NC Forum took place in November 2023 at NCBiotech. This event centered around the theme of "Conversations on AgTech Regulatory in the Triangle" and featured the participation of five well-regarded local regulatory experts. The event provided an excellent opportunity for face-to-face engagement with students, faculty, and professionals in the field of agricultural sciences and its regulations. The event drew a substantial turnout, with over 65 participants in attendance.
