The Triad BioNight evening of spirit, awards, and recognition is held every few years in the Piedmont Triad. Triad BioNight attracts several hundred leaders from academia, industry, and government from the Piedmont Triad and across the state and features awards to celebrate biotechnology leadership in the region.

Please nominate individuals or organizations using the form below for the following categories. Nominations are being sought for individuals or organizations in the Piedmont Triad region which includes Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin counties.

Award submissions are now closed.

Awarded to an individual or organization for excellent accomplishments in R&D. Excellence can be exemplified by elements of R&D capacity investment, external funding, significant knowledge/technology advances and peer or external recognition.

2017 Winner: Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine - Bioprinting Team

Awarded to an individual or organization for successful endeavors in commercial enterprise development. Excellence can be exemplified by enterprise innovation, business acumen, high growth, community commitment and being a role model for enterprises.

Awarded to an individual or organization for excellent contributions to educational program development or enhancement of workforce skill development. 2019 Keynote Speaker

David Hollinrake
President, Syngenta Seeds LLC and North American Region Director

David Hollinrake leads Syngenta’s seed business in North America, with a focus on meeting the needs of customers and helping deliver top genetics, traits and agronomic support.

Prior to joining Syngenta in 2017, David served as Vice President of North America Marketing and Portfolio Management for Bayer CropScience LP, where he led the company’s 10-year business strategy and the reorganization of its U.S. marketing and portfolio teams.

During his 25 years in the industry, David has managed high-performing global and regional teams. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, value creation, organizational development, product planning, business development, sales management and marketing management.

David was raised on a corn and soybean farm in Illinois. This is where his passion for agriculture was ignited. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he earned his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

David has served on the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity educational foundation board since 2014. In his free time, David enjoys spending time with family, playing golf and following his two favorite sports teams – the Illinois Fighting Illini and the St. Louis Cardinals.
