Join Innovate Carolina’s Office of Technology Commercialization for its 2025 Celebration of Inventorship, an evening dedicated to recognizing UNC’s distinguished inventors. This event will feature remarks by Dr. Dedric Carter, UNC’s Vice Chancellor for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and Chief Innovation Officer, plus an awards ceremony celebrating UNC inventors.

A reception will follow the ceremony, connecting fellow innovators with members of our local innovation ecosystem.

UNC-led trial finds liver-targeted insulin may reduce hypoglycemia risk

People living with type 1 diabetes walk a delicate line between taking enough insulin to control blood sugar and taking too much, which can cause dangerously low blood sugar, or hypoglycemia. An investigational liver-targeted insulin called HDV Lispro (HDV-LIS) could make day-to-day blood sugar management easier and safer.
