GRAIL Unveils New Durham Facility

GRAIL’s RTP site, announced by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper last summer, is expected to open to employees in the spring and laboratory operations could begin as early as this fall.

Hiring is underway for laboratory scientists and technologists; equipment, quality, and automation engineers; and supply chain and warehouse personnel. Candidates are encouraged to visit www.grail.com/careers to view and apply for open positions. A virtual open house is planned to introduce GRAIL to the community and to view a video of the new facility.

About GRAIL

GRAIL is a healthcare company whose mission is to detect cancer early, when it can be cured. GRAIL is focused on saving lives and improving health by pioneering new technologies for early cancer detection. The company is using the power of next-generation sequencing, population-scale clinical studies, and state-of-the-art computer science and data science for Galleri, a multi-cancer early detection test. An earlier version of Galleri demonstrated the ability to detect more than 50 types of cancers — over 45 of which lack recommended screening tests today — with a low false-positive rate of less than 1%. When cancer is detected, Galleri localizes the cancer signal from a single blood draw. GRAIL is headquartered in Menlo Park, California.
