Science Cafe logo

Charlotte Area Science Network logoJoin the Charlotte Area Science Network (CASN) as we explore The Chemistry of Gemstones with Christopher Bramlett, Ph.D.
Bramlett, a chemist and certified gemologist appraiser, will give some of the underlying facts that make gemstones, many of which have no utilitarian value, such desired commodities even in a world preoccupied with the technology of information flow and usage.
He will focus on the gems that have been chosen to serve as birthstones
and their chemical makeup.
