About
Martie joined NCBiotech in April 2023 as the Associate Director of Life Science Economic Development. She is responsible for supporting the creation, management, and measuring of programs that leverage North Carolina’s technology-based assets to attract and retain life sciences jobs and investments.
Martie previously completed a naturalist internship at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences where she studied various methods of preserving specimens for museum exhibits. She also has a background in recruiting and staffing within the STEM industries across North and South Carolina.
Martie earned her bachelor’s degree in biology cross disciplined with business administration from North Carolina State University.
