Central NC Women Entrepreneurs Invited to WE Pitch Event

Women Entrepreneurs Pitch or “WE Pitch’ is a “Shark Tank”-type event to help take business development for women entrepreneurs in Central North Carolina to the next level. 

The next WE Pitch event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. June 20 at the Carolina Theater in Durham, presented by Central Carolina Women in Business.

Applicants are required to provide a business plan and financial information. Five winning candidates will receive mentoring from WE Pitch partner businesses, including the Small Business and Technology Development Center.

"We feel that this mentoring may well be the most valuable piece of the program,” said Kim Tesoro, CEO of the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce. "The fact that the semi-finalists all receive access to this piece, strengthens the reasons to hold the event."

The six-week evaluation process will lead up to the June event. There, the winner, selected by a panel of judges, will receive up to $10,000 in prizes.
