11th Annual Ag Innovation Showcase: The Power of Convergence
The 11th annual Ag Innovation Showcase connects the relationship of health in food production and the environment. The Guthrie in Minneapolis will be hosting the Showcase September 9-11, offering expert panels with rapid-fire discussions, spotlight sessions, and representation from multiple agribusiness companies.
The Showcase is seeking answers for the present and future challenges of agriculture. With a focus on health, the 11th edition of this Showcase will dive into food’s production process and the implications it has on resources and consumption.
Extensive discussions and thought-provoking panels will be led by a wide array of speakers from across the world and industry to showcase their innovations. Event-goers will have the opportunity to dive into initiatives and research that are driving the choices that will positively impact the next generation of agribusiness. Attendees will also learn about changes to the treatment of plant, water, soil, and animal health that could make or break the challenges faced today.
An 11-year journey
The Ag Innovation Showcase is an 11-year effort to celebrate innovation in the agriculture community. More than 180 innovators have been featured in panels, presentations, and spotlights. A sense of community is cultivated there to discuss industry trends and network with peers.
“The Ag Innovation Showcase was one of the first of its kind to focus specifically on innovation that is or will impact agriculture, and is recognized as one of the premier programs in the ag tech sector. As such, many North Carolina ag tech companies have presented and made valuable connections through attending,” said Paul Ulanch, Ph.D., executive director of the Biotech Center’s Crop Commercialization Program.
The 2019 Ag Innovation Showcase is a joint effort of Larta Institute, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, and the Bio Research & Development Growth Park.
