Triangle Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience

The North Carolina Triangle Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience (Triangle Chapter SfN) boosts the Society for Neuroscience’s (SfN) mission locally by bringing together neuroscientists from around the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and surrounding areas) to:

  1. Promote training and outreach programs

  2. Provide networking events

  3. Facilitate information sharing across institutions (academic, government, and industry)

  4. Engage and educate our community about neuroscience research & industry and its impact on society

Participant Guidelines

Most events (Trivia, Outreach Events, Annual Neuroscience Research Meeting, and our Annual Chapter Anniversary Meeting) are open to the public and require registration.  Attendees typically include local academic neuroscientists at all levels from surrounding institutions such as Duke, UNC, NCCU, NCSU, etc.  We also have attendees representing government, industry, and the general public at our events and our Annual Neuroscience Research Meeting.

Our council meetings, held monthly, are open to any member of Triangle SfN.  Council members must attend these monthly meetings and are permitted two absences throughout the year.
