Project Description:
Many lung diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), COPD, and silicosis are chronic and ultimately fatal disorders with no existing cure. The regenerative potential of human lung spheroid cell-derived secreted factors including proteins and exosomes will be developed as potential therapeutics against these diseases. However, to translate this research into clinical applications, critical safety and efficacy studies including a dose range study are needed, which will be performed during this grant.
