Project Description:
This project focuses on pilot studies leading to commercial scale-up for the production of packaging papers produced using bio-based coatings that are environmentally friendly and recyclable but still provide a functional barrier coating, specifically for moisture and oil and grease resistance as an alternative to non-renewable extruded petroleum-based latex coatings, and fluorochemical and chromium-containing coatings.
