Project Description:
Insulin costs have risen dramatically in the last few years, partially because the drug is delicate and must be refrigerated during shipping and storage. To help reduce this cost, a new method of stabilizing the insulin molecule using a protein from tardigrades will be developed in order to allow it to be transported and stored at room temperature.
