The Future of Agriculture: Crop-in-a-Box

Indoor Ag

Ag Tech Professional Forum

Join friends and colleagues from our region and share what’s happening in North Carolina’s ag tech industry. The Ag Tech Professional Forum is a series held throughout the year providing the opportunity to learn about N.C.’s diverse agricultural resources, while also offering a setting for networking and engagement outside of our normal work spaces. See the agenda below for the upcoming Forum topic and details.

Agenda

September's Forum will discuss how technology advancements in LED lighting have revolutionized opportunities for growing crops through indoor production systems. Companies are raising hundreds of millions of dollars from venture capital to deploy simple crop-in-a-box systems all the way to large-scale plant factories. A panel of experts will provide an overview of the current state of the art as well as highlight where the future of controlled environments can take agriculture.
