Susie Corbett

As the Vice President for Library and Information Services, Susie Corbett focuses on performing market research for startups, ensuring that the Center’s Company Directory is up-to-date and collecting data which defines the biotech industry in NC. 

Before coming to the Center in 2006, Susie was a medical librarian, working primarily at academic medical libraries.  She was a tenured Associate Professor at the ECU Health Sciences Library until 1998, and served as Associate Professor/Systems Development Librarian at Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences at the University of Birmingham in Alabama until 2006. 

She has also served as a hospital librarian, as the Director of Information Resources at the Wake Area Health Education Center. 

Corbett has a Masters of Science in Library Science from UNC Chapel Hill and a Masters in Environmental Health from East Carolina University.
