Cynthia J. Sollod, Ph.D.

Cynthia Sollod directs activities related to the research grant funding programs for the Center. These programs are aimed at strengthening the research infrastructure of North Carolina's academic and not-for-profit institutions. Sollod previously worked with Bill Bullock, of the Bioscience Industrial Development Group to assist in recruiting life science companies to North Carolina.
Her previous employment history includes 10 years as Research Director at BioAbility, a small consulting company specializing in life science business information, and technical research in turf pathology at the USDA Beltsville Agriculture Research Center.
Sollod holds a B.S. in botany from the University of Maryland, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in plant pathology and genetics from North Carolina State University.
