Churn is said to be bigger in the contract research industry than in the dairy industry.

So if you’re a clinical research associate or clinical operations professional ready for some job hopping in this hotbed of CRO-nihism, you might hit pay dirt Thursday or Friday, Sept. 5 or 6, at The Four Points By Sheraton Raleigh-Durham Airport.

Premier Research is holding a job fair at the hotel starting at 7 a.m. each day, using an open house format. That means clinical professionals can walk in without registration and have a sit-down interview with recruiters and managers. The company says offer letters may be generated on the spot.

The event runs until 7 p.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday. You can follow signs to the Old North State Room in the Sheraton, at 1200 Claren Circle in Morrisville.

Premier’s North Carolina operations are mostly clinical, growing from almost nothing to 66 employees in the last 12 months. The Philadelphia-based company says it grew by more than 20 percent in revenue last year and roughly the same so far this year.

According to Marketing Director Joakim Lindroos, “Our pediatric, rare disease/orphan drug, analgesia, and medical device expertise is in high demand, especially among small pharma and biotech. We value our presence in North Carolina for the caliber of employee we are able to attract.”

Premier has seven offices in North America, 14 in Europe and operates in 23 countries. So far it employs 1,000 clinical professionals, including monitors and project managers as well as regulatory, data management, statistical, scientific and medical staff at its clinical sites.
