The "Funding Gateway" serves as a one-stop shop to help search for funding and to also complement the Center's funding programs. It provides assistance to North Carolina educators, researchers and businesses in identifying grant opportunities and preparing grant proposals.

During this year's Science in the Mountains 2011, a session was held titled, "Finding Funding Gold" (pdf). The basic tools for how to get started in the search for “funding gold” for small business concerns and faculty along with funding tricks and tips, funding websites and list serves, and the latest funding opportunities were shared.
Every week the Biotechnology Center identifies funding opportunities, grant programs, and upcoming events that may be of interest to our partners across North Carolina. The weekly grants alert typically includes 5-6 opportunities with focus areas ranging from STEM Education to entrepreneurship to commercialization of technologies.
