Bioethics Resource Network

The Bioethics Resource Network (BRN) is a collaboration of individuals who have professional and personal interests in bioethics. The group serves community professionals, academics, and scientists by providing them with a forum to discuss and explore bioethical issues. In addition, the network provides opportunities for its members to share their viewpoints on ethical issues with each other. Finally, BRN enables its members to work collaboratively on forums, workshops, conferences, research, etc.

Topics of discussion emerge and evolve continually, especially in biotechnology. Topics of current interest include but are not limited to genetic diagnosis, counseling and therapy, genetic enhancement, cloning, extending life span, genetically modified food and animals, designer drugs, machine-body interfacing, tissue and organ engineering, patenting, and confidentiality.
