Registration is now open for the 21st annual Southeast BIO Investor & Partnering Forum to be held in Miami on November 6 and 7.

The SEBIO 2019 Forum will offer early-stage bioscience and medical technology companies the chance at presenting to more than 300 potential investors, industry partners and other attendees.

The Forum is the largest life science and medical technology showcase in the southeastern United States. It connects life science companies from throughout the region with potential corporate partners and investors.

Participants will see company presentations, hear expert speakers, network with others in the bioscience community and present their companies’ funding needs to venture capitalists, investment bankers and angel investors.

With the application ending in mid-August, the forum offers new opportunities to build business partnerships and explore the region’s life science sector. To date, the more than 220 later-stage and 180 early stage companies that participated in previous SEBIO Investor & Partnering Forums have raised more than $3.5 billion in public and private funding, according to SEBIO.

Selection criteria for presenting at the Forum include elements such as team management, funding history and stage of technology development. Presenting companies must be headquartered in one state in the southeast: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia.

An SEBIO selection committee will review all material and will keep all information confidential. However, SEBIO does reserve the right to publish the company name, city, and supplied description for those chosen to present. The application fee is $125 and must be paid for the application to be completed.

Those selected will have a pre-conference practice session with SEBIO at a collaborated time and date and have to pay an assessed $250 for on-site conference expenses. A company profile must be prepared, for inclusion in the program book, and the official presentation must be in PowerPoint.

Private advisory sessions with experienced business professionals are provided to the chosen early-stage companies.

This year’s Forum will be held at The Biltmore Hotel in Miami. The event rotates at locations throughout the South, and previous Forums have been held in Durham, Pinehurst and Raleigh.
