LabCorp CEO David P. King to Keynote Triad BioNight 2017

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center has announced that LabCorp Chairman and CEO David P. King will be the keynote speaker for the March 30 Triad BioNight 2017 gala in Greensboro.

The event honors leaders in the Triad’s life science community with the presentation of the Piedmont Triad Biotechnology Excellence Awards.  

“We are honored to announce David King as the keynote speaker for Triad BioNight 2017,” said Nancy Johnston, executive director of the Piedmont Triad Office for NCBiotech. “As a world-leading life sciences company, LabCorp’s growth has had a tremendous impact on our region and in the areas of diagnostics and drug development. We welcome his insight.”

About the event

Triad BioNight 2017 will bring together regional and statewide leaders from academia, industry and government to celebrate the Piedmont Triad’s life science community and its achievements. The Center's Piedmont Triad Office and the Advisory Committee for Biotechnology in the Piedmont Triad will host the event.

Registration is open to everyone interested in attending the event, which will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons.

Nominations being sought

The awards committee for Triad BioNight is now accepting nominations for the Excellence Awards. Winners will be announced at the gala.

Nominations are being encouraged in five categories: academic development excellence; biotechnology community leadership excellence; biotechnology service/support excellence; entrepreneurial excellence; research and development excellence award.
