If you’re building a company in the “3-D” world of Devices, Diagnostics or Digital health products, you have until the end of the day this Friday, Feb. 16, to seek fame and fortune.

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center has partnered with MedTech Innovator, the industry’s nonprofit global competition and accelerator for medical device, digital health and diagnostic companies, to host the inaugural Southeast Region Pitch Event for MedTech’s annual $500,000 competition.

The event will be held at NCBiotech on April 9. And because NCBiotech is partnering with MedTech to sponsor this first event in the Research Triangle Park, the application window was extended to Friday.

MedTech Innovator is the industry’s nonprofit global competition and accelerator for medical device, diagnostic, and digital health companies. With the largest platform of its kind, the organization provides best-in-class startups with unparalleled access to expertise and mentorship from decision-making stakeholders across the healthcare industry. In 2018, $500,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.

Other Pitch Events are being held in major “3-D” cities around the world.

The RTP Pitch Event is a critical step in selecting the companies that will participate in the 2018 program. It is also an opportunity for entrepreneurs to network and receive feedback from leading players in the industry including manufacturers, investors and providers.

Only medical device, diagnostic, or digital health companies that have not yet closed a Series B are eligible for the Accelerator. Early to mid-stage medical device, diagnostic, or digital health companies are also encouraged to apply and are eligible for the Showcase track of the program. MedTech Innovator does not charge or take equity for participation, and there is no application fee.

The RTP Pitch Event is open to the public. Interested in attending? If so, click on this Eventbrite link for general registration (not for presenting companies).
