The North Carolina Biotechnology Center is again partnering with Duke to bring the second annual east coast version of PMWC to Durham. As a result, registrants are eligible for a 10 percent discount by using this discount code: PMWCDuke2018_NCBT_10

The PMWC is billed as “the only fully integrated conference to examine the advances and challenges of personalized medicine through a practical lens.”

It brings together thought leaders of business, government, healthcare delivery, research and technology into one information-rich, two-day conference.

The roster of speakers includes more than 60 experts, including former FDA Commissioner Robert Califf, M.D., MACC, now of Duke, and Jeffrey Gordon, M.D., of Washington University in St. Louis, founding director of the Center for Genome Sciences and Systems Biology.

Organizers say the event “is a call for the health care community to execute on next steps for a wider adoption and implementation of precision medicine. New capabilities and challenges require the convergence of thinking from the community and stakeholders.”

Participants will explore:

  • The impact of innovations in precision health;
  • The challenges that must still be overcome to bring them to the clinic;
  •  How to encourage wider adoption by health care providers
  • How best to satisfy payors and regulators;
  • How to maximize community engagement for precision health acceptance.

The conference format consists of two main tracks involving concurrent sessions each day. The sessions are led by leaders in the commercial, pharmaceutical, academic, government, regulatory, venture capital, and non-profit arenas who deliver a broad and up-to-date array of content across the various facets of precision medicine.

This is the latest in a series of PMWC events around the U.S. and offshore.
