Life Science Economic Development Exchange Group
Mission and Goals
The Life Science Economic Development (LED) Exchange Group for the Northeast Charlotte region is an outgrowth of a collaborative effort between biotechnology and life science partners in the region formed initially to support the ongoing economic development of the biotechnology sector in the North Carolina Research Campus and the region.
Building on the synergy already established the mission of the LED Exchange Group is to enhance the region's competitive advantage by creating local and global awareness of as well as leveraging the region's biotechnology-related strengths of research, education, business development, and workforce training.
Meetings are scheduled quarterly on Thursdays for a working lunch from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Meeting notification is sent to members via e-mail.

To Become a Member:
Members of the LED will continue to be selected and agreed upon by members based on their role within their respective organizations as it relates to the mission of the LED. Membership of the LED includes representatives from the economic development, research, education, business, healthcare and legislative sectors of the region.
