Project Description:
UNC-Chapel Hill will acquire an FEI Vitrobot that is essential to specimen preparation for cryo-electron microscopy. Cryo-electron microscopes visualize super -frozen samples to determine their 3D structures at near atomic resolution. In order to use the cryo-electron microscope, samples must be prepared in a very detailed manner and the FEI Vitrobot is an important piece of equipment needed for sample preparation.
