An award was made in December 2015 for the continued funding of the NC Marine Bio-Technologies Center of Innovation (MBCOI). MBCOI is a non-profit entity which integrates marine biotechnology-based research, services, innovations, and entities to identify and meet market needs in order to accelerate commercialization of marine biotechnology research and development to drive company creation and job growth for North Carolina.
