Project Description: Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an extremely challenging type of cancer to treat successfully and currently has few therapeutic options. Triple negative cancers are more difficult to treat because they lack the three receptors on their cell surface that hormonal drugs attacks. CIB1 is a protein that appears to promote TNBC cell survival. Here we propose to develop a drug that inhibits CIB1, for the treatment of TNBC.
