WIB-RTP: 2023 Career Fair for Women In Bio

The Women In Bio RTP Chapter Career Fair provides an empowering and inclusive platform for women in the life sciences sector to network, explore career opportunities, and gain valuable insights from industry leaders. This event aims to bridge the gender gap in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries by showcasing the exceptional talent pool of women professionals. You will have an opportunity to:

  • Meet with prominent companies actively seeking to hire talented professionals like you.
  • Engage in face-to-face discussions with company representatives and hiring managers.
  • Learn about current job openings and career advancement opportunities.
  • Participate in career-building workshops
  • Network with like-minded individuals and build connections to propel your career forward.

There will be 12–15 companies from the biotech, pharmaceutical, and related industries at the career fair. Participating companies will be announced soon—stay tuned for updates. Food and drink tickets will be provided.

Speakers

Emily Crookston, Owner and Decider of All Things at the Pocket Ph.D

Emily Crookston

Emily is the ghostwriter for rebels, renegades, and mavericks. She helps experts—who are long on ideas, but short on time—write business books. As the Owner and Decider of All Things at the Pocket Ph.D., Emily and her team collaborate with professionals and brands who are ready to take their content marketing to the next level. Together they strategize and create pillar pages, blog articles, industry articles, and LinkedIn posts based on their clients’ goals.

If you ask, Emily will tell you that her favorite thing about being a ghostwriter is discovering quirky, cool ways to translate complex ideas for non-expert audiences. Her work has appeared in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Ellevate, Psychology Today, Rolling Stone, Inman, SmartBrief, and ThriveGlobal. Emily is also a former philosophy professor, speaker, and podcast guest. When she’s not writing intensely, she’s most likely practicing yoga intensely. She lives for coffee shops that play great music to write to and desserts topped with *real* whipped cream.
