NIH SBIR/STTR: Proposal Development / Commercialization Strategy / Resources Overview

The training will provide strategies and techniques for SBIR/STTR Phase 1 proposal development, commercialization strategy, and resource identification.

Specific content to be covered will help attendees to:

• Understand fundamental differences between grant and contract agencies

• Learn foundational skills to draft an SBIR/STTR Phase 1 proposal

• Recognize the importance of Conflicts of Interest

• Learn how commercialization plays a major role in a proposal’s success

• Understand how different a STTR/SBIR proposal is from the RO1 application

• Develop a timeline for proposal development

• Prepare for post-award activities

• Learn from fellow SBIR/STTR awardees
