How To Get the Most Out of LinkedIn

Are you a life sciences professional interested in networking, connecting with company representatives, and discovering essential career skills? Join us every month for a free Career Development Network event to build strong relationships and learn about resources that advance careers.

Even in the digital world, first impressions are significant. When you initiate contact with a prospective employer or client online, your charisma and confidence greatly influence their decisions.

On Aug. 8, Patrick Brandt will conduct a workshop to help attendees maximize the effectiveness of their LinkedIn profiles, develop connections through the Alumni tool, and gather valuable information about opportunities through advanced search options. He will also discuss the importance of including a high-quality headshot in a social media profile.

A good headshot establishes credibility and portrays an individual who is serious about success. It is also a direct reflection of an individual's values and beliefs. Therefore, we hired a professional photographer to provide headshots (free of charge) for use on social media.
