Food, the Land & Me: Visualizing the Science of Food and Growing
Join the fun on Thursday, April 12 for the NC Science Festival: Food, The Land & Me: Visualizing The Science of Food and Growing consisting of two sessions of interactive workshops, hands-on learning, and mini-performances in food science.
While both are open to all, the first session (4:00-6:00 p.m.) is targeted toward kids (K-16), teachers and families. The second session (6:00-8:00 p.m.) is geared toward university students, faculty and the community at large.
Throughout, participants will experience artistic expression of scientific mechanisms in food science experiments led by faculty, staff and students of the Center for Design Innovation (CDI), Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) as well as public experts in science, art and communication.
