Discover the World of Biomanufacturing With bluebird bio
Young Women In Bio-RTP invites girls in grades 9–12 to join us and learn about the world of biomanufacturing with bluebird bio on Monday, May 10 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. EDT. BlueBirdBio is a pioneering biotechnology company that is developing gene and cell therapies to treat genetic disorders and cancer. In 2019, BlueBirdBio opened its state-of-the-art gene and cell therapy manufacturing site in RTP.
In this event, participants will learn how gene and cell-based therapies are manufactured. Sustainability and being considerate of the environment are also at the heart of BlueBirdBio’s manufacturing. A large focus of the event will center on how BlueBirdBio is developing and executing environmentally sustainable practices for manufacturing.
