The UNC Charlotte Center for Professional and Applied Ethics presents Miranda Waggoner, Ph.D., as part of the Bioethics Resource Network's epigenetics series.

"Dr. Waggoner is an assistant professor of sociology at Florida State University and affiliated with FSU’s Center for Demography & Population Health. Her research examines the social, ethical, and cultural dimensions of biomedical knowledge production. Her current project focuses on “vulnerable” populations and biomedical research ethics, specifically with regard to the inclusion of pregnant women in clinical trials. She is author of The Zero Trimester: Pre-Pregnancy Care and the Politics of Reproductive Risk (University of California Press)."
