Charlotte Biomedical 2018
On Friday, May 4, the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Science (CBES) of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte will host the Charlotte Biomedical 2018 symposium with a poster competition to follow. Representatives from Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), Levine Cancer Institute, Cannon Research Center and OrthoCarolina Research Institute will give keynote sessions on the following topics:
- Translational regenerative medicine
- Cancer diagnostics and personalized medicine
- Cryopreservation of tissues and organs
- 3D organs and organs on a chip
- Orthopedic regenerative medicine
Keynote speaker Anthony Atala, Ph.D. will give a seminar on research activities happening at WFIRM. Also, members will have the opportunity to present and discuss advances in their research program related to the session topics listed above.
Poster Competition
Graduate students will showcase their research in a competitive forum. Students will be judged on both the quality and oral presentation of their poster.
